Ahoy readers! Set sail for Scranton Library's Summer Reading Program, Make a Splash READ! Read 20 minutes a day to earn prizes and have fun. As you read, you will explore the various levels of the ocean -finally arriving at the ocean floor!
How The Program Works
There are 7 depths to the ocean and 7 levels of prizes. As you accumulate your time spent reading, you reach different levels to earn various prizes.
The Levels
Level 1 - The Surface: The first 140 minutes of reading (7 days at 20 minutes a day) earns you a pick from the treasure chest.
Level 2 - Sunlight Zone: 280 minutes of reading (14 days at 20 minutes a day) earns you an ice cream cone from Lenny and Joe's.
Level 3 - The Twilight Zone: 420 minutes of reading (21 days at 20 minutes) earns you a Rockcats Baseball ticket.
Level 4 - The Dark Zone : 560 minutes of reading (28 days at 20 minutes a day) earns you a Quassy Amusement Park Voucher.
Level 5 - The Abyss : 700 minutes of reading(35 days at 20 minutes a day) earns you a raffle ticket for an R.J. Julia's Gift Certificate.
