The Westfield Memorial Library is pleased to present two workshops for job hunters. “Write the Resume that Gets You the Interview” will take place on Wednesday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m., and “How to Use Networking to Help You Find a Job” on Wednesday, September 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Paul Cecala, a Certified Career Coach, presents the workshops. He is a member of the Five-O'Clock Club Guild of Career Coaches and an adjunct faculty member of Sustainable Careers at the County College of Morris. He has led hundreds of job-related workshops.
The resume writing presentation is appropriate for job seekers just entering the job market, or for more experienced individuals who are continuing their search. Not only will it help attendees create an excellent resume, it also helps them stay focused on their career goals.
The networking presentation tackles how to enter the hidden job market via contacts that job hunters have, although they are often unaware of them. The Internet has made applying for jobs easier, but it has actually made competition for them much stiffer.
