Second Saturday Science: Kitchen Chemistry

Beyond the baking soda volcano! Use common food and kitchen items to explore interesting chemical reactions. 'Hot ice', homemade pH indicators, and more.

REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Registered groups can drop by anytime during the session and stay as long or as short as you like.

What is Second Saturday Science?
Second Saturday Science is a chance for children, adults, and families to test out scientific principles through hands-on exploration. Each session will explore a different aspect of science or technology.

Who is it for?
These programs are best for elementary school and up, although all ages are welcome. Some activities will require adult participation, and younger children may require assistance with some of the activities.
